Charles Spurgeon was an English Baptist preacher, well known for his sermons.

Spurgeon, “The Prince of Preachers” was born in Essex in 1834. He was baptized and started to serve in a Baptist Church.

When he was 20, he became pastor of the congregation of the New Park Street Chapel in London, the biggest Baptiste congregation at the time. He preached there for 38 years.

His fashion and ability as a preacher made him well-known in a number of months. His sermons had been printed each week and had a high circulation.

By the date of his dying, in 1892, he had preached greater than 3000 sermons and had written plenty of commentaries, anecdotes, and devotions.

His weekly sermons are still one of the best-selling series of writings in history.
